Two Wolves

This was a project for Drawing course. The subject was to paint or draw something animal-related.

Wolves have always intrigued me somehow. They are really feared animals, especially in Scandinavia, when, for example, in native American tribes they are seen as wise and compassionate. I want to believe there’s two sides of the story, good and bad, and some shades of grey, and it also applies to us humans.

First piece I drew is a scene from the Prose Edda, Norse mythology, about Ragnarök, how giant feared wolf Fenris devours the moon. The second piece is inspired of a story about a wolf, who guides lost travelers back home.
